Swansea City 1-1 Chelsea – Match Highlights (Premier League)

A deflected goal in injury time robbed Swansea City of a memorable victory at the Liberty Stadium as 10-man Chelsea salvaged a 1-1 Premier League draw.

Swansea dominated the first half and had their reward when Scott Sinclair swivelled to shoot past Petr Cech. But Chelsea came back into it with long spells of possession after the break. And Jose Bosingwa’s late deflected effort salvaged an unlikely draw for the visitors after they were reduced to ten men as Ashley Cole saw red for a second bookable offence.

Playing the attractive brand of passing football that has served them so well at home so far this year, it was Swansea who dictated play from the outset and they could easily have gone ahead as early as the seventh minute. Steven Caulker knocked down Gylfi Sigurdsson’s free kick and Danny Graham found the ball at his feet yards from Cech’s post but Branislav Ivanovic did just enough to make him shoot wide.

Swansea continued to press and hustled Cech into an uncharacteristic mistake shortly after. The Chelsea keeper flew out of the box, missing a tackle on Graham who played in Sigurdsson. His goalbound shot was only cleared back out to Graham, who also saw his shot scrambled off the line by David Luiz.
