Lazio 2-0 Atalanta – Match Highlights (Serie A)

A Hernanes penalty and a stoppage-time clincher from Miroslav Klose saw Lazio end their recent Serie A slump with a 2-0 win over Atalanta at the Stadio Olimpico.

Hernanes fired the opener beyond Andrea Consigli from 12 yards in the 20th minute after Stefan Radu was brought down in the area by Andrea Masiello.

The away side created several half-chances to get back into the game, even after being reduced to ten men seven minutes into the second half when Stefano Lucchini picked up his second yellow card.

But this scrappy affair was finally put to bed by Klose’s fine finish in the first minute of time added on at the end of the game.

Edoardo Reja’s side earned their first three points in four attempts in Serie A with the win, sending them closer towards the title-chasing pack at the league summit. Stefano Colantuono’s men, meanwhile, remain in mid-table with the loss.
