Ambrosini : AC Milan Will Challenge Inter Milan For Title!

AC Milan captain Massimo Ambrosini insists the present squad can challenge Inter Milan for this season’s title.

Milan are in London this weekend to compete in the Emirates Cup.

“Milan are certainly a competitive side that did a great deal last season,” said Ambrosini at the presentation.

“If we give just a little bit more this year, then we can cause problems for Inter in the Scudetto race.

“It is beyond doubt that the Nerazzurri are still a step ahead of everyone else right now.”

The captain was also impressed with the arrival of new Coach Massimiliano Allegri.

“The first impressions were positive. He has great ideas and talks to us a lot. Of course it always takes time and patience with a new tactician.”

Ambrosini is one of several veterans waiting to see if his contract will be extended.

“There’s no news yet, but I am in no hurry and neither is the club. We’ll talk it over at the right time.”
