Arjen Robben Gets Injured Against Hungary – Video
Bayern Munich forward Arjen Robben faces an anxious wait to discover if he will be fit for the World Cup finals after suffering a hamstring injury during the Netherlands’ 6-1 friendly win over Hungary.
Robben replaced Dirk Kuyt at half-time and scored twice before falling awkwardly on the turf in the final five minutes.
The former Chelsea player attempted a clever backheel pass before collapsing with no Hungarian players near him. He hobbled off before heading immediately to the dressing room.
Several Dutch players, including Robin van Persie and Mark van Bommel, fellow scorers in the rout of the Hungarians at the Amsterdam ArenA, shared Robben’s concerned expression.
Media reports in Amsterdam suggest Robben has gone to hospital for a scan to discover the extent of the injury.
